UX Writing Advocacy

I love speaking at conferences, on podcasts, and doing interviews to share projects, UX writing insights, and represent the companies I work for.

Equally, I’m committed to attending industry events to learn from peers, stay current on best practices, and continuously develop my skills, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives back to any team I’m on.

This dual focus allows me to both advocate for the discipline and grow as a professional, ensuring my work and the teams I collaborate with stay at the forefront of UX writing innovation.

Content Design, UX Writing, UX Content Strategy what’s the difference?

I wrote this article in response to the many questions I received about what content design is and how our teams operate. It explains the distinctions and overlaps between UX writing, content design, and content strategy, providing clarity for anyone navigating these roles. The piece highlights why understanding these differences matters for teams, products, and the evolving discipline of product content.

A designer’s guide to empty states

Medium article

I wrote this article because empty states are one of the most overlooked yet valuable components in software design, a gold mine for engaging users and setting them up for success from the start. I wanted to show how thoughtful content, design, and interaction can turn “emptiness” into meaningful moments that guide users, build trust, showcase brand personality, and begin to foster a lasting relationship between the user and the product.

Pendo Blog

Interview

I was invited by Pendo to share how I helped Procore Technologies personalize in‑app communications using their platform. The blog highlights how we built a “Pendo COE” to deliver segmented, consistent guidance to diverse user groups—from job‑site crews to office users—and how this strategy elevated user experience by reducing surprises and increasing familiarity. The piece features how I collaborated across teams, advocated for in‑product messaging to become part of the experience (not just an overlay), and implemented scalable best practices that improved how we communicate through the product.

ErgoDox EZ

Interview

I was featured by ErgoDox EZ, a custom keyboard company, discussing how I optimize my workflow as a UX Content Writer. I shared how I use custom key mappings to streamline repetitive tasks like copying and pasting content between Google Docs and Figma and programmed Slack’s CMD+K shortcut to efficiently manage multiple conversations with collaborators. I wanted to share how these customizations helped me I combine thoughtful process design with technology to work more efficiently.
